July 16 2017 " Rebecca, We shall always remember our stay with fondness. Such good conversation and thoughtful hospitality. The Jane Austen Festival was a memory-maker." ~ S. & G. H. (Inn at Woodhaven, Louisville, KY)
May 2017 " I can't comment on Darlene and Tony because they were on vacation, but Rebecca was an incredible fill-in host! Our upstairs room was very nice and comfortable. Our sheets were wonderful (Rebecca helped us order a set for our home). Breakfast was delicious, and the other three couple in attendance were fun to interact with." ~ J.W. (Oak Hill on Love Lane, Waynesville, AL)
May 2017 "My husband and I were in need of some much needed R&R after caring for my mom who had recently lost her battle with Alzheimer's dementia. We were tired, stressed and still grieving but our stay here soothed our bodies...with the bedding, the wonderful soaps and lotions, and the delicious breakfasts that were prepared with love, it soothed our minds...with the peaceful atmosphere, the rich history of the home, the attention to our every need by Rebecca, Tony and Darlene, It soothed our spirits...by allowing us to meet and converse at breakfast with people from various echelons of society. From teachers, to farmers, to those in the art world or business. Thank you, everything about our stay was delightful and we feel very refreshed." (Oak Hill on Love Lane, Waynesville, AL)
May 2017 "When I called to make reservations, Darlene told me she and Tony would not be there as they were helping their daughter move to Colorado. Given the reviews, I must admit I was a little disappointed. Then, I tried to make a reservation myself for an evening elk viewing and they told me they were all filled up, I waited too long to reserve and I was disappointed! I called Oak Hill and talked to Rebecca who told me she would immediately investigate. Rebecca called me back the next day and said she talked to the company and they were all filled up, as expected. Then the surprise came. She talked to Darlene and Tony, and they put together a plan, giving us explicit directions and a secret tip how to find the elk. My wife and I had the day of our lives as we saw 9 elk and numerous wild turkey as well as other wildlife. Look, it was my fault that I did not schedule the trip earlier and it would have been so easy for Darlene and Tony to simply ignore our situation, especially as they were gone and helping their child move. As a result, we saved $135 and ended with a better result. This is but one example of how this couple goes above and beyond the norm, and what makes Oak Hill one of the best, if not the best, B and B we have ever stayed at. They knew my wife and I were interested in the outdoors, so they had a list of waterfalls to visit, again with explicit instructions on how to get there. They had all the restaurants they recommend, and they told us early on to get reservations (I did this early enough!)
We spent 3 nights and enjoyed every minute. As everyone else has commented, the breakfasts were superb, the fire pit and the view out of this world. The inn was in perfect condition, many antiques but enough modern touches to not feel like we were in a museum.
Now a moment about Rebecca, who deserves a call out. When we arrived, we found out that she is a contractor who travels around the US to give B and B owners some much needed time off. What an awesome job she did! We met a couple who had stayed there before and they said Rebecca did everything just as they remembered. She was so friendly and personable, and if she did not know something about the area, she got the information quickly and expertly. We had a very early morning flight on our last day, and Rebecca packed my wife and I a to go breakfast, a delicious parfait, hard boiled egg and of course, their trademark muffins. Also, to go coffee cups right there for us to fill up and go." ~ T.S. (Oak Hill on Love Lane, Waynesville, AL)

This was our first time at your Inn and we just wanted to let you know what a great time we had and what a beautiful home you have. Your Inn and staff were amazing! The small touches, like fridge in the rooms, coffee makers in the room, vibrating bed, etc, were great! Rebecca Whisnant, the Interim Inn Keeper was one of the best Inn Keepers we have ever had. She met all of our needs and was a pleasure to talk with. She was always willing to go above and beyond and really made our stay great. She was extremely professional, but also very personable and down to earth. It was like we had a friend the second we walked through the door. July 16, 2011 "I have absolutely loved my extended stay at the Arrowhead Inn in Durham, NC. This Inn is the perfect combination of a stately historic home, truly beautiful furnishings, cutting-edge amenities, delectable gourmet food, and dazzling gardens. The Innkeepers are the most gracious hosts imaginable. During my stay, they had a great vacation opportunity and left their business with a professional Inn-sitter, Rebecca Whisnant. She is an amazing gal. You feel at home the minute she welcomes you. She assisted me through a medical setback with sincere compassion. My best wishes for Innkeepers, Gloria and Phil, and Inn-Sitter, Rebecca. I appreciate the superb accommodations." S. A. Smith

May 29, 2011 "My wife and I along with our 2 pound Yorkie stayed over the Memorial Week End. Would not stay any other place. Mind you, I am a native of Montezuma and my brother and his wife live just up the street. Simply too peaceful not to stay with Adele. Unfortunately Adele was away this week end preparing for her swearing in ceremony in Atlanta for the U.S Citizenship. We were pleasantly surprised by her temporary replacement, Rebecca. Beautiful, generous, personable and a good cook."

October 21, 2010 "We stayed one night in the master suite. We had such a wonderful time. The normal innkeeper was out so they had someone else there. She was so sweet and made our stay perfect. She took the time to answer questions we had about the history of the house and chat with us after breakfast. The room was perfect and had everything we could of imagined, needed, or wanted right at our fingertips. Also the breakfast was so yummy!!! We actually live in Atlanta not far from the bed and breakfast but we felt like we were on vacation far away from home because of how nice the place was. We can't wait to book another stay." (TA Review of Stonehurst Place, Atlanta, GA)
September 28, 2010 "I chose Stonehurst Place as the perfect place to propose to my girlfriend (based on the picture that I've seen of the place). I was not disappointed! My soon-to-be fiancee was immediately greeted by Rebecca (who was the innkeeper on duty at the time) and given a tour of the house and offered cake and/or a beverage. We were led to our room (The Gables) and IMMEDIATELY sunk into the bed (easily one of the most comfortable that I've been on). The room was spacious and beautiful, the decorations were fantastic... it was the perfect place for me to pop the question. After an eventful night, my newly-minted fiancee and I got up for breakfast and the food was great (a quiche, parfait, biscuit, coffee, juice, and sausage). I was served exactly the right amount of food. I loved Stonehurst and can't wait to come back some day!" (TA Review of Stonehurst Place, Atlanta, GA)
